Broadway Assassins Cast Reunites for Exclusive Concert

Roundabout Theatre Company reunited cast members from its acclaimed, 2004 Tony Award-winning revival of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Assassins on Monday, December 3 for a one-night-only benefit reading of the musical at Studio 54. Joe Mantello, who received a Tony Award for his direction of the production, helmed the script-in-hand concert, which was conducted by Paul Gemignani.

Despite critical acclaim and winning five Tonys in 2004, the cult-classic musical, which had been extended through the fall of that year, closed after only 101 performances. The reunion concert, therefore, was a gift to diehard fans, and theatergoers who were bummed they never got the chance to see the original production.
