James Barbour's Bring Me Giants Concert: This Is The Moment

Kicking off the start of his holiday concert series and celebrating the release of his CD "Bring Me Giants," James Barbour brought the house down at Sardi's, NYC most famous theatrical hot spot since 1927, on Saturday, November 10, 2012. With one of the biggest and most powerful voices out there, James delighted the sold-out crowd to some of the best character songs created for Broadway by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Frank Wildhorn, Jack Murphy, amongst others.

With his versatility as a singer, James triumphed throughout the whole evening with brilliant renditions of "Music Of The Night," "Bring Him Home," "Impossible Dream," "If Ever I Would Leave You," "Who Will Love This Child," "This Is The Moment," "Bring Me Giants," and "I Can't Recall," all re-arranged by James' musical director Jeremy Roberts. James knows exactly when to give more on a particular note and when to hold things back.

My favorite part of the evening was learning how James is using his talent and theatre to educate children around the country. James created an educational booklet entitled "Bring Me Giants" and partnered with the Weiner Nusim Foundation, which offers teachers and community groups a way to interactively teach literary classics to students, and has sent this booklet, free of charge, to over 1000 schools across the country to teach students in music, theatre, and literature. James also goes around the country teaching master classes to students using both the "Bring Me Giants" booklet and CD. It's great to see James really giving back.
